National Junior Honor Society has arrived at Painted Rock Academy! Last week the newest chapter of NJHS inducted its first members at PRA. Membership is open to those students who maintain a 3.0 average; who exemplify leadership, service, and respect for others and their community; and who are in 6th grade (spring semester), 7th grade, and 8th grade. NJHS members learn how to be effective leaders, and they will learn why leadership skills are effective tools at any stage of life. NJHS meets monthly to discuss group and individual service projects. In February, our NJHS students made personalized valentines that they donated to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. We have meetings that involve leadership, teamwork, decision-making, and study skills. Congratulations to the PRA students who have earned the distinction of membership in NJHS.
